Yael Frankel

Yael Frankel is an author and illustrator born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1967. She has published books in her country, in France, Italy, Spain, China, South Korea, Colombia and Chile. She has been selected to exhibit her work at the Bologna Fair in 2016 and 2017. Her book A simple view, edited by Amanuta, Chile, has been selected for the White Raven catalog, curated by the International Youth Library – IYL) from Munich, Germany. Her book Contame más has won the award for best album book, awarded by ALIJA IBBY Argentina, in 2017. Her illustrations for the book El elevator, published by Limonero, Argentina, have won first prize at the Children’s Literature Festival from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, in 2019. This same year, the book was awarded at the Moscow International Children’s Book Fair, in the author’s book category.
