Catarina Sobral

Catarina Sobral, author and illustrator of Achimpa, was born in Coimbra, Portugal, in 1985. She completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in illustration and visual communication and presented her work in various international exhibitions and shows, both individual and group. In 2011 she published Greve and in 2014, Achimpa, which had enormous editorial impact and was translated into numerous languages. Among other awards, in 2014 Catarina Sobral was awarded the prestigious Bologna Fair and SM Foundation Illustration Prize, in its fifth edition.
